Veteran singer-songwriter and Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale is having a big year. His latest record, Iem A Song, which was released earlier this summer is enjoying some of the most glowing reviews of his nearly three decade career. Lauderdale spoke to the Willco Arts Section about the state of Americana music, his new album, and Music City Roots, which recently relocated to the Factory in Franklin and other topics. Lauderdale was driving back home from a writing session in Nashville with long-time George Jones collaborator Melba Montgomery.
