Summit running back George Odimegwu is the Marla Richardson with Home Realty Residential Player of the Week for Week 2.

The sophomore recorded 109 receiving yards on two catches, 82 rushing yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s 31-17 win against Independence.

His first touchdown came on an 8-yard run to give the Spartans a 7-0 lead with 5:07 left in the first quarter.

He extended Summit’s lead to 21-10 with a 50-yard touchdown reception with 7:52 remaining in the second frame.

Summit (1-1) visits White County (0-2) Friday.

Bubba Johnson, Page RB: Rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries in Friday’s 43-13 win against Nolensville.

Austin Amor, Grace Christian Academy QB: Rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns, passed for 139 yards and a score and had a 62-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 26-22 win against Middle Tennessee Christian School.

Dontae Smith, Spring Hill RB: Rushed for 160 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-18 win against Columbia Academy.

Tylin Oden, Spring Hill WR: Caught seven passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.

Tai Carter, Summit RB: Had 23 carries for 135 yards.

Jariel Wilson, Centennial RB: Rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on six carries in Friday’s 56-21 loss against Hendersonville.

Tavion Fleming, Centennial WR: Caught five passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. He also picked up 29 rushing yards on four carries.

Harold Arana, Independence WR: Had six catches for 195 yards and a touchdown.

TJ Sheffield, Independence WR: Hauled in six catches for 105 yards.
