Visitors and residents poured into downtown Franklin by the tens of thousands for the first day of Main Street Festival on Saturday.
Clear skies and a temperature of around 70 may have had something to do with the steady stream of people in the area throughout the festival, which ran from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Heritage Foundation CEO Bari Beasley said they are expecting to see 140,000 throughout the weekend, an increase from the original approximation of 130,000.
With over 200 vendors for art, jewelry, food and drinks, an extensive carnival for children, and several live music stages, another clear day awaits festival-goers on Sunday.
