The annual UAW Fall Festival is set to kick off next Sunday on October 14 at the UAW Hall in Spring Hill, featuring live music, magic shows, craft beer tastings, inflatables and much more.
This free event is open to the public, and already has more than 90 vendors registered for participation, including the Union Sportsman Alliance, which will feature an outdoor archery range for guests to try.
“There’s something for everybody,” said Bill Weber with the UAW Local 1853. “If you’re into craft beer, we have that. If you’re into good music, we have that. If the kids want to have a great day, that’s available. There’s different activities that are available for all ages.”
Weber said last year’s UAW Fall Festival saw more than 2,000 visitors, and that that was during inclement weather.
Live musical acts include the bands Speakeasy and a Journey tribute band, Escape.
There will be 90 vendors inside the UAW Hall, with more posted outside. Food trucks will also be present during the festival.
The kids zone will have inflatables, a magic show, rock climbing walls, balloon art, inflatable obstacle course races, and even a remote-control car race.
The event lasts from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. that Sunday.
“It’s the UAW giving back to the community,” Weber said. “It’s creating an event that doesn’t happen here in Spring Hill. We just want as much community involvement as we can.”
