Tuesday, Wednesday schedule for the Williamson County Fair

The Williamson County Fair goes through Aug. 10 — and while the games and rides are certainly enough to make someone want to attend, the fair’s lineup also includes several performances and contests.

Here’s what’s going on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Williamson County Fair:

Tuesday, Aug. 6

Tuesday, Aug. 6 is Back to School Night where anyone wearing elementary, middle, high school or college spirit wear will receive $2 off of admission.

The annual Sing Your Heart Out Vocal Competition will showcase local talent on the Nissan Stage beginning at 6 p.m. and the Kids in the Kitchen cooking competition, held during the Fair for the first time this year, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Picnic Pavilion.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, Williamson County Farm Bureau members may present the postcard invitation received by mail in late July for free entry into the fair. The invitation is good for the person and his or her household (four person limit), and includes an ice cream social and other fun activities and giveaways in the Picnic Pavilion.

Performances by the Piccolo Zoppe Italian Circus, Lady Houdini, BMX Trickstars, Xpogo Stunt Team, Jurassic Kingdom, Robocars and The Spoon Man continue nightly. Show times vary; check the daily schedules online for times. Unlimited midway rides are available Monday through Thursday nights for $20.

Event attendees can text WCFAIR to 888-777 to opt-in for real-time safety and weather-related alerts. To learn more, go to www.williamsoncountyfair.org.
