TripAdvisor, a popular American travel and restaurant rating website, has named Franklin as one of their top 30 cities to visit in 2018.
The rating cites Franklin’s small-town feel and charming Main Street with top dining spots, as well as the monthly Art Scene and local festivals.
“It is wonderful to be recognized on national lists because as travelers are looking for new destinations, lists like this are often their starting point,” said Ellie Westman Chin, the president and chief executive officer of the Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau, in a written release.
“The charm of Franklin and the incredible shops, restaurants, and attractions that comprise the city are in a class all to themselves, and it is wonderful to see that recognized,” she continued.
In 2017, the travel website also included Franklin on three other lists: “Most Charming Southern Vacations You Need to Experience,” “20 Best Romantic Vacations in America,” and “Most Charming Southern Vacations in the U.S.”
Included on the 2018 list is northern neighbor Nashville, and fellow Southern destinations Asheville, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Raleigh and Savannah, Georgia, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
