In honor of the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club’s upcoming third annual Amethyst Affair — Art, Auction & Awareness event, TGI Friday’s in Cool Springs plans to donate 20 percent of its proceeds on Monday, Oct. 17, to support the club’s month-long domestic violence fundraising and awareness efforts.
The theme for this year’s event is “Unmasking Domestic Violence,” and guests are encouraged to wear a masquerade mask to add to the excitement of the evening.
Proceeds from TGI Friday’s on Oct. 17 will go toward the club’s goal of at least $5,000, which it aims to raise for the Center of Hope Domestic Violence Shelter in Columbia as a part of its Amethyst Affair event.
The GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club encourages all those who work in Franklin or will be in the area on Oct. 17 to join in on the fundraising effort by eating at TGI Friday’s, thus supporting the Center of Hope’s work to assist victims of domestic violence.
This year’s Amethyst Affair – Art, Auction & Awareness event will be held on Oct. 28, 2016, beginning at 7 p.m. at the UAW 1853 Union Hall, located at 125 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway in Spring Hill.
Suggested dress is semi-formal/formal attire. Tickets are $40 per person, and may be purchased online by visiting www.amethystaffair2016.eventbrite.com. The evening will include dinner as well as live and silent auctions.
Questions or inquiries about donating an auction item or becoming a sponsor for the evening may be sent by email to GFWCSpringStation@gmail.com.
