Sunshine and suds: Scenes from Main Street Brewfest

Kermit the Frog sang, “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”

Clearly the amphibian puppet was not at Main Street Brewfest on Saturday. The rain held back. The cold lifted. The sun peeked through. And hundreds of people showed up, most wearing something — or everything — green.

It was dramatically different from 2017, when the festival fell on March 11 and patrons faced temperatures between 30 and 40.

It’s the 15th year of the beer festival, hosted by the Downtown Franklin Association, a branch of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County.
