Suicide Prevention training stresses "Question, Persuade, and Refer" response

A two-hour Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) seminar led by Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 26.

Sue Jeffers, Realtor for Benchmark Realty, is hosting the event at the Catholic Church of the Nativity, 2793 Buckner Lane, Thompson’s Station, TN 37179.

The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network ( works to eliminate the stigma of suicide, educate the community about the warning signs of suicide, and ultimately reduce the rate of suicide in the state of Tennessee.

All that attend the seminar will receive a certificate of completion. This is the same training that educators are required to complete before the school year.

With suicide on the rise, including in Spring Hill, the training is suggested for those in businesses and for emergency personnel.

Email or call Salena Garza, director of Client Care and Community Relations for Sue Jeffers, at (615) 364-5943 with any questions and to RSVP. An RSVP is not mandatory, but is preferred.

In order to get this license plate, TSPN must  collect 1,000 order reservations. Without these 1,000 pre-orders, there will not be a license plate for Tennessee. The final design for the plate is pictured above.
