Chase Fetherling, son of Todd and Mary Fetherling, is a freshman at Renaissance High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
He is a member of Drama Club, Board Game Club, Dungeons and Dragons Club, and Destination Imagination. He is also set to perform in the RNHS spring production.
Dungeons and Dragons is one of Fetherling’s greatest passions. “It gives me a chance to express creativity,” he said.
His favorite class at RNHS is English with Mrs. Green. “She has a way of teaching English where I don’t hate it,” he said. “Last year it was my least favorite class.”
One of his biggest role models is his father, Todd. “He is an entrepreneur… all the businesses he has started have been successful… He is a hard worker,” he said.
One of Fetherling’s teachers, Ms. Dennis, said of him, “Chase is funny. He doesn’t give up. He is dedicated and pushes himself to learn more about topics. He is also a good friend. There are just so many good qualities about him!”
Although he is only a freshman, he said he is certain of his future pursuits. He is planning to major in Computer Science or Quantum Physics.
