Brayden Chapman, son of Becky and David Chapman, is a junior at Fairview High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
He is a member of the Varsity Football Team and participates in Future Farmers of America. Recently, he earned his Greenhand and Chapter Degrees in FFA, acknowledging his skill in and experience in agriculture and dedication to the organization.
Chapman said football is one of his biggest passions. “I have grown up playing it and it has led to me making new friendships over the years,” he said. “Football has taught me discipline and respect.”
His favorite teacher at FVHS is Mr. Hooper. “He teaches us skills that could help us in the future,” he said. “He is the Agriscience teacher and teaches us agricultural practices.”
His top role model is his grandfather. He said he admires him for his willingness to help people in need and his work ethic. “He has shown me how to be a good person in life,” he said.
After graduating from FVHS, Chapman hopes to go to college to pursue a career as a conservation biologist.
