Brianna Mays, daughter of Amber and John Pollock, is a junior at Fairview High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
She is a member of Spanish Honors Society and the Varsity Volleyball Team. When she’s not busy with either of those things, Mays said she likes to spend her time in science. She said it is one of her biggest passions and that she is able to “pick up the material very quick.”
Her favorite teachers at FVHS are Mr. Boulton and Mrs. Clouse. She said she loves each of their classes, math and history, and that she has “connected with both of them.”
Mrs. Clouse said of Mays, “Brianna has a work ethic and drive for success that far exceeds her peers. She continually pushes herself and those around her to be better.”
Mays said that her mother, Amber, is one of her biggest role models for her strength and commitment to the family.
“She was able to take care of three kids successfully by herself,” she said.
After graduating from FVHS next year, she plans to attend either Auburn or Vanderbilt University to study to become a Biomedical Scientist.
