Noah Baughman, son of Elisa and Rob Baughman, is a senior at Centennial High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
He is a member of the Varsity Baseball Team, CHS Choir, and a volunteer for the Best Buddies program. He also spends the free time he has officiating youth sports. He has been on the Varsity Baseball Team for three years and Honors Choir for four years.
Baughman said one of his biggest passions is helping serve the Special Ed department at CHS. He said the members of Best Buddies are some of his closest friends.
One of his favorite teachers at CHS is Chorus Teacher Dr. Vest. He said of Vest, “He makes coming to school early in the morning worth it and really does care about all of his students.”
Dr. Vest said of Baughman, “Noah is a hardworking, fun-loving student that is well-liked by his teachers and his peers. He always has a kind word to say and a smile on his face.”
Baughman said his inspiration in life and role model is his father, Rob. “He is superman,” he said. “From battling cancer to having to coach both of his sons… he taught me more about life than anyone else.”
After graduating this spring, he plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University to pursue a degree in Broadcasting. One day, he hopes to host on ESPN.
