STUDENT OF THE WEEK: Centennial High School

Morgan Maynard

Morgan Maynard, daughter of Tina and Doug Maynard, is a senior at Centennial High School and this week’s Student of the Week.

She is a member of CHS Student Council, National Art Honor Society, and National Honors Society. Outside of school, Maynard enjoys attending her small group at church, dancing, and babysitting.

Her favorite teacher at CHS is Mr. Sawyer. He teaches Architecture, Engineering and Design. “His  class relates to what I want to do in life and he is super funny and awesome,” she said.

Her biggest role model is her mother, Tina. She said that she looks up to her for her work ethic and strength.

One of her teachers said of her, “Morgan is sweet yet fierce. She puts forth a lot of effort to make things right. I don’t know when she finds the time—she must not ever sleep! Morgan is the first to offer to bring something for the class as a special treat on Fridays… She is ‘pinterest’ creative in her work and sincere in all her encounters with others.

After graduating from CHS this spring, Maynard plans to go to an SEC school to pursue a degree in either construction science, project management, or interior design. She is also planning to obtain her real estate license.
