The Spring Hill Police Department has identified the victim and suspect in Sunday night’s fatal shooting in Spring Hill and are looking for the suspect.
According to SHPD, Phillip Pero, 35, of Hohenwald was shot once in the garage of a house on Iroquois Drive Sunday afternoon.
Near the victim was a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson firearm.
People from inside the house told police that the suspect, James Rush Huddleston, 34, had talked about shooting Pero that day and that he fled the scene after the shooting. Williamson County has issued a warrant for Huddleston, a Murfreesboro resident, charging him with criminal homicide.
The Spring Hill Police Department is actively looking for Huddleston and seeking any
information from the public on his location.
Huddleston may be traveling with a small child and his girlfriend, Victoria Phillips, 22. He fled the scene in a 1997 Red Cadillac Seville with a faded hood and aftermarket wheels.
SHPD urges the public to not approach Huddleston if he is located, but rather contact your local law enforcement agency.
This is a developing story.
