The Franklin High School Class of 1982 had their 30th reunion this weekend with a casual gathering at Puckett’s Grocery in Franklin and the formal gathering Saturday night at the Embassy Suites Hotel.

The casual Friday night gathering also included five other classes from FHS.  Past students were there from the Class of 1980 through the Class of 1984.

The Franklin High School Class of 1982 had their 30th reunion this weekend with a casual gathering at Puckett’s Grocery in Franklin and the formal gathering Saturday night at the Embassy Suites Hotel.

The casual Friday night gathering also included five other classes from FHS.  Past students were there from the Class of 1980 through the Class of 1984.

Around 50 people were at the Friday gathering and over 100 attended the Saturday night event.  Long-time favorite teacher from all classes, Eugene Wade, made a surprise appearance.  Wade recently retired from the Williamson County School system after a 49-year commitment to teaching and administration.

“Eugene Wade has committed to surprise everyone and give about a 15 minute motivational speech,” said Michael Thompson, class president.

Friday Night’s event at Puckett’s Grocery:  
Franklin Middle School students were excited to see each other at the Class of ’82 Reunion.
   
 Mike Alexander, Class of ’79 and Cecelia Alexander, Class of ’82 enjoyed their dinner at Puckett’s Grocery.  All from the Class of ’82, Trudy Gentry, Trish Egglestone Stiles, and Stephanie Dixon were happy to be reunited.
   
 Dave Gilfillan, Class of ’80, Michael Thompson, President of the Class of ’82, and Bill Fitzgerald, Class of ’82 and 26-year Franklin fireman rehashed old times.  Bobbie Rutledge and Maurice Patton, both from the Class of ’82 were rehashing some old memories at Puckett’s Grocery.
   
 Trish Eggleston Stiles, Gloria McGee and Laura Cragon Zeitlin were all in the Class of ’82.  Zeitlin helped organize Friday’s event.  Kelly Gilfillan, Class of ’84, Kent Bailey, Class of ’82 and Holly Swan, Class of ’84 are glad to see each other.
   
 Laurie Seaton, Class of ’82, Mignon Mosley Sawyer, Class of ’83, Shawn Barrentine, Class of ’82 and Howard Gamble, Class of ’80.  Franklin’s football stadium is named for Gamble’s father.  Mal Quillen, Class of ’84, Jeff Davis, Class of ’82 and Lory Probst were having a good time.
