SCENE AND HEARD: Celebrity bowlers raise money for High Hopes

Kings Bowl continued its grand opening celebration Tuesday with the “Stars and Strikes” event.

Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Tim Nichols hosted the “Stars & Strikes” celebrity bowling tournament on May 3 at the new Kings Bowl at the CoolSprings Galleria mall.

The event was a benefit for the High Hopes Development Center in Franklin, which provides education to children with and without special needs along with an on-site pediatric therapy clinic offering physical occupation,speech and feeding therapies for children from birth to age 21.

Celebrity bowlers for the event were Lee Greenwood, Rory Feek, Jo Dee Messina, the Warren Brothers, Phil Vassar, Louise Mandrell, Jamie O’Neal, Naima Adedapo, Drew Baldridge, and Post Monroe, along with a host of local elected leaders.

Kings Bowl Cool Springs includes the Draft Room restaurant, two different bars, 16 bowling lanes, a four-lane private bowling room, and a luxury gaming room. It is open Monday – Thursday 11 a.m.-1 a.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-2 a.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.
