BGA 62, Whites Creek 32: Gavin Shellnut sank four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to lead Battle Ground Academy over Whites Creek in the Cane Ridge tournament.
The Wildcats (3-2) also got 12 points from Brian Dangerfield. BGA returns to action at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lighthouse Christian.
Battle Ground rolled out to a 23-6 first-quarter lead and went up 58-24 at the end of the third.
Blackman 56, Independence 45: Vic Wharton III scored 19 points including a 3-pointer in the Eagles’ loss to Blackman at their Indy Classic.
Trent Perry bucketed a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 12 points for Independence (2-2), while Cam Miller added nine points with a trey.
IHS led 29-27 at halftime but was outscored 16-2 in the third quarter by the Blaze, led by Darius Thompson’s 12 points.
Hillsboro 63, Centennial 44: Matt Pond scored 20 points and hit three 3-pointers in the Cougars’ loss to Hillsboro in the finals of the Cane Ridge Thanksgiving tournament.
Jamonte Davis had 22 points for the Burros, who jumped out to a 17-8 lead over Centennial (3-2).
Page 58, Loretto 55: The Patriots (2-2), who play at Centennial on Monday night, defeated Loretto at the Lebanon Thanksgiving Classic.
Independence 63, Lavergne 24: Hannah Winters sank a pair of 3-pointers and had 14 points as the Lady Eagles rolled by the Wolverines at the Indy Classic.
Tayla Harmon, Gretchen Peterson and Avery Wharton each scored 10 points for Independence (3-1), which led 30-16 at halftime,. Laina Buche’ and J.T. Twaddle, with nine points apiece, and Wharton each hit a trey.
Page 49, Moore County 38: Bria White scored 17 points and Cat Taylor had 15 in the Lady Patriots’ win over Moore County at the Lebanon Thanksgiving Classic.
Taylor, a Tennessee Tech signee, hit a pair of 3-pointers for Page (2-2), which plays at neighboring Centennial on Monday. The Lady Patriots dominated 18-7 in the final quarter against Moore County, which sank seven 3s.
Sycamore 61, Centennial 21: Jordan Johnson led the Lady Cougars with eight points in the O’Charley’s / Lavergne Classic loss.
Sycamore (3-1) hit 10 3-pointers and dominated throughout, leading 35-10 at halftime. Centennial (1-3) next plays at home on Monday against Page.
