Residents asked to vote in Safety Video Challenge

Franklin Home Page news reports Voting for the Franklin Fire Department’s Summer Safety Video Challenge ends Friday. The contest received 15 entries from Franklin and Williamson County children and their families during the submission period, which ended July 27. The contest received 15 entries from Franklin and Williamson County children and their families during the submission period, which ended July 27.

To vote, visit the City of Franklin’s YouTube page and “Like” your favorite video to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

“It’s really great to see Franklin kids learning about safety and having fun at the same time,” said Chief Rocky Garzarek.  “This was our first video challenge and I think our community went above and beyond in creating some fantastic safety videos.  I can’t wait to congratulate the winners with some fabulous prizes.”

The grand prize winner will receive a $500 gift card from Bink’s Outfitter’s and tickets to see their video at the Franklin Theatre.  The second place winner will receive a Grill Master 4-burner gas grill from Lowe’s Franklin, the third place winner will receive a $100 gift card from Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, and the People’s Choice winner will receive a $100 gift card from Essex Bargain Hunt.
