Pick your own Pumpkins

One of the most popular road trips this time of year is to Gentry Farms, 1974 New Highway 96 W., in Franklin. This historic working farm has been owned by the same family for over 150 years. The farm is now open Saturdays (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Sundays (1-5 p.m.) and Monday mornings (9 a.m. to noon). Admission is $6 per person, ages 2-65. The farm has a corn maze, hayrides, natural trail, farm animals and more in addition to pumpkins. Click here for details.

Spooky flicks

The Franklin Theatre has gotten into the spirit by scheduling a months-worth of horror films and not-so-scary but still spooky flicks during the month. Monster House, The Cabin in the Woods, Corpse Bride, Psycho and Zombieland are among the offerings. Click here for details.

Grace Chapel in Leipers Fork – Trunk, Treat and Tailgate

On Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-8 p.m. is Grace Chapel’s Trunk, Treat and Tailgate. This safe event for the whole family will be held in the church parking lot. Show up in the family car, pop the trunk and bring dinner and candy to share. The grill will be available and kids can go from trunk to trunk and collect candy in a safe environment. There will also be inflatables and a fireworks show. Grace Chapel is located at 3279 Southall Rd. in Franklin.

West Franklin Baptist Church Trunk or Treat

West Franklin Baptist Church will also host its Trunk or Treat event on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. The church is seeking donations of candy and volunteers to help during the event. For more information, email alisha@wfbchurch.org. West Franklin Baptist Church is located at 700 Tennessee 96  in Franklin.

Trick or Treat at CoolSprings Galleria

Children up to age 12 are invited to come in costume with an adult to the CoolSprings Galleria for a free night of trick-or-treating at the mall.

Participating retailers will have candy and treats for the kids. The event runs from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
