On Monday, Nathan Mohnke, a marching band member and student at Fred J. Page High School, was selected as a 2018 U.S. Army All-American.

This honor means Mohnke will be among 125 high school band members chosen throughout the United States to perform at halftime during the national broadcast of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl next year.

The bowl, sponsored by American Family Insurance, will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 8, 2018, and will be aired live on NBC.

The game will pit high school All-American football players against one another; NFL stars such as Odell Beckham Jr., Andrew Luck and Tim Tebow have made their national debut at this game.

In Monday’s selection ceremony at Page High School, Mohnke was presented with a U.S. Army All-American warm-up jacket by Army officers.
