Visit Franklin has promoted one of its staff to take over as the organization’s director of sales
Ben Eggebeen, who joined Visit Franklin in June 2018, will lead all sales activities and the sales team at Visit Franklin. Team members work closely with planners of meetings, sports events, motor coach tours, and more that choose to host their events in Williamson County.
“Ben Eggebeen has been a tremendous asset to our team since he joined Visit Franklin and has impressed with his understanding of the industry and ability to work with both current clients and those looking to bring meetings and conventions of all sizes to Williamson County,” said Visit Franklin President & CEO Ellie Westman Chin. “He’s led us into new markets already in his time here, and we are excited to see the work he will continue to do in this expanded role as he represents Visit Franklin.”
Since joining Visit Franklin nearly a year ago, Eggebeen has worked closely with meetings and conventions under 400 attendees, led Visit Franklin’s expansion in the group tour and motorcoach operator market, and developed close relationships with hotel and hospitality partners across Williamson County.
Prior to joining Visit Franklin Eggebeen was at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, where during his five-year tenure event sales increased 25 percent and he planned, designed and executed events for several national corporations, United States senators, and The National Governors Association, among others.
