Some of the top art and antiques appraisers in the region will be at Nashville Public Television’s most popular event, Antiques & Fine Arts Appraisal Day on Saturday in Franklin.
The event is 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN 37064.
There are two ticketed appraisal sessions: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Doors will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No early birds will be allowed in before sessions begin.
Appraisers can appraise very large pieces from good photographs. Bring several clear, in-focus photos: at least one indicating the size or scale of the item, an overall view, and close-ups of detail work, signatures, damaged areas, etc. Staff and volunteers from NPT and The Factory will not be able to assist with carrying items – bring up to 2 people to assist you if necessary.
Please, no arrowheads, burial material, Pre-Columbian items or ammunition. See the list of acceptable items.
Tickets to each session are $75 for up to three items, and $150 for up to six items. Appraisals are verbal only – no written appraisals.
Patrons will be asked to sign the Appraisal Day Waiver the day of the event.
The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County will be on site to sell memberships.
