Studio Tenn, Franklin’s professional regional theater company, begins its 10th anniversary season with a hit musical at Jamison Theatre in the Factory at Franklin from Aug. 16 through Sept. 8.

Featuring a cast of Broadway alums, music industry professionals and local college students, the ABBA-filled Mamma Mia! tells the hilarious and heartwarming story of a young woman’s search for her birth father.

The mother-daughter duo of Donna and Sophie will be portrayed by Erica Aubrey and Emily Urbanski, respectively. The two women already share a real-life connection, as Aubrey is Urbanski’s vocal instructor at Belmont University.

“It feels surreal to be taking the stage alongside Mrs. Erica, and I am so thankful for her guidance every day,” Urbanski said. “Performing in Mamma Mia! together is such an incredible learning opportunity that goes beyond the work in our lessons, and I am humbled to be a part of this experience.”

Urbanski is not the only character with whom Aubrey shares a relationship outside of the show. The musical theater instructor is also cast alongside Miles Aubrey, her real-life husband who plays Sam, Donna’s love interest. Miles Aubrey is a Broadway veteran and longtime touring musician, and he is currently the music director and lead guitarist for six-time Grammy nominee Brandy Clark.

Tickets for Mamma Mia! are available at studiotenn.com/mamma-mia or by calling 615-541-8200.
