Brentwood Assistant Police Chief Tommy Walsh released a statement confirming the release at 6:48 p.m.  Maidens was being held on criminal homicide charges filed by Brentwood Police on April 22. The bond amount was $750,000. That was a reduction from an earlier $2.5 million amount set at Maidens’ first hearing.

Though his bond was posted earlier today, he could not leave the jail until he had been fitted with a GPS tracking device, District Attorney Kim Helper said.  The device was one of several conditions for release set forth at his bond hearing late last month. He is also must stay in Williamson or Davidson counties.

“His lawyer has told me where [Maidens] will spend tonight,” Helper told FHP, although she did not disclose the location.

Maidens, who is represented by David Raybin, is charged with the murder of his wife, Brentwood orthodontist Dr. Rachael Maidens. She was found shot to death in their Governors Club home on April 21.

He is also ordered not to contact the couple’s young daughter or his wife’s family.

Maidens next court appearance is set for June 24 at 9 a.m.
