A months-long remodeling project at the south Franklin Kroger, 3054 Columbia Ave., has been completed and Kroger will celebrate the re-grand opening of the store beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
The first 300 customers beginning at 7 a.m. will receive COUPONS for FREE breakfast items. The FREE items include orange juice, sausage, a dozen eggs, and english muffins.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m., along with the first of a day long series of drawings for $300 Kroger Gift Cards. Other drawings will be held at noon, 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. Customers must be present to win.
The 63,000 square foot store has undergone a significant remodel over the past several months.
“We are very excited about the re-grand opening”, said Daniel Seal, store manager. “The customers have been very patient during this remodel process, and I think they will be pleased with what we now have to offer them.”
Features of the newly remodeled store include an expanded Natural Foods and Organics department that includes refrigerated and frozen items, Fresh Meat and Seafood department, Fresh In Store Made Sushi, a new Specialty Cheese Shoppe, an Olive Bar, a Salad Bar, Made to Order Boar’s Head Sandwiches, and a Floral Shoppe. The store has also added an additional self-checkout lane.
The Pharmacy area at the store was also remodeled. Customers can receive a $30 credit on their Kroger Plus Card good toward groceries with any prescriptions transferred from a non-Kroger pharmacy. In addition, customers receive 50 fuel points for every qualifying prescription.
Grand opening promotions will continue for several weeks.
Kroger is one of the nation’s largest retail grocery chains. The Nashville Division operates 92 stores and 81 Fuel Centers in Middle and East Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and North Alabama.
