Chris Miller-Hill, son of Mary Hill and Laura Miller, is a senior at Franklin High School and this week’s Jet’s Pizza male Athlete of the Week.
He is a senior at Franklin High School and a member of the varsity boys soccer team. He plays the position of center back.
He said he is most proud of scoring three game winners last year and being on the team when they were named All-District.
Miller-Hill started playing soccer at the age of five for a recreational league.
When asked what inspires him to train and compete, he said that he is focusing on competing at State and his drive to win continues to push him forward.
One of his biggest role models is FHS soccer alumni, Wilnes Ramey.
“His leadership and motivation skills are impeccable and contagious,” he said.
Mike Burgoyne, FHS Head Soccer Coach for the boys team, said of Miller-Hill:
Chris Miller-Hill is a four-year varsity soccer player and a multi-sport athlete. He excels both on the football and soccer field. He has led the Rebels to an early 3-1 record as they compete for their third district championship in a row. Chris is an excellent defender, but can play any position on the field. During his four year high school career, he has played every position on the field. Chris is willing to do whatever is asked to help the team. His leadership on and off the field have helped his team, school and community.
After graduating from FHS, he plans to study business at either the University of Colorado Boulder or The University of Alabama.
