Emma Vysoky, daughter of Matt and Ann Vysoky, is our Jet’s Pizza Female Athlete of the Week.
She is a senior at Franklin High School and a member of the varsity girls cheerleading team. She is a main base for the team.
She started cheering in middle school. She said she tried it out because she wanted to “support the team and show school spirit.”
When asked what inspires her to train and compete she said, “It was exciting to think that all the summer practices would pay off when it was time to cheer on the football and basketball teams. I would think about how beneficial the practices would be when the team is prepared for the games.”
FHS cheerleading coaches, Rachel Berzina and Lindsey Quirk said of Vysoky, “Emma is a passionate, caring and organized leader both on the sideline cheering and in the classroom setting. She is always attentive to her teammates, acting in the best interest for all.”
After graduating from FHS, Vysoky plans to attend The University of Tennessee at Knoxville to pursue a career in nursing. She would eventually like to become a surgical nurse.
