Libby Butler, daughter of Peppy and Dave Butler, is our Jet’s Pizza Female Athlete of the Week.
She is a senior at Franklin High School and a member of the bowling team.
She is the number one female bowler in the district with an average high game of 219.
Butler started bowling her freshman year with several of her friends. “We have loved it ever since,” she said.
When asked what inspires her to train , “My coaches push me to do my best and always are proud of me when I do well, but they see failure as an opportunity to improve.”
FHS head bowling coach, Patty Tomlinson said of Butler:
Libby Butler is a senior that has been an active member of the FHS Bowling team since her freshman year. She has managed to be a successful bowler, competitive equestrian and strong academic student while also being an active member of the FHS student government, Model United Nations Delegate, National Honor Society and English Honor Society… her positive spirit and example are going to be missed as she graduates and goes on to bigger and better things.
One of her biggest inspirations and role models is her bowling coach, Coach Patty. She said she admires her passion for bowling and really looks up to her for that reason.
After finishing at FHS, Butler plans to attend Auburn University.
