JET’S PIZZA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Battle Ground Academy

Robbie Kirkpatrick

Senior

Robbie Kirkpatrick, son of Caren and Rob Kirkpatrick, is our Jet’s Pizza Male Athlete of the Week.

He is a senior at Battle Ground Academy and a member of the varsity football team. He plays the position of center for the team.

He has been playing football since the fifth grade and hasn’t stepped off the field ever since.

He said one of the biggest lessons he has learned is that it’s okay to be the underdog and often times works to your advantage. He also said one of the most challenging yet rewarding parts of the game is the time taken to become better through workouts, like two-a-days. “It is a constant cycle,” he said.

One of his biggest role models is his father, Rob. He admires his great work ethic and said he is one of the hardest working people he knows.

Outside of football, Kirkpatrick is involved with the theatre program at BGA. He was in the productions of Les Miserables and The Addams Family. He also volunteers at the Williamson County Animal Shelter due to his love for animals and his future career ambition to become a veterinarian.

After graduating this spring, he would like to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
