Piper Dambach, daughter of Karen and Stephen Dambach, is our Jet’s Pizza female Athlete of the Week.
She is a sophomore at Battle Ground Academy and a member of the softball team. She plays the positions of middle infield and pitcher.
Dambach got her start in softball at the age of four, when her parents signed her up for a recreational league team.
“When I was younger, my older brothers played baseball so my parents signed me up for a rec league… to see if I liked softball,” Dambach said. “Since then, my love for softball” has only grown.
When asked what inspires her to train and compete she said her father has been the main driving force.
“He’s always prepared to go to the field or the batting cages with me and work on whatever I need until I’m done,” she said. “He’s one of my biggest supporters and he sticks with me even on the bad days.”
After graduating from BGA in a couple of years, Dambach plans to further her softball and academic careers in college.
