Ashton Patton, daughter of Ashley Patton, is our Jet’s Pizza Female Athlete of the Week.
She is a senior at Battle Ground Academy and a member of the varsity cheerleading team. She is also the captain of the team, an achievement she worked hard for.
She got her start in cheer in the eighth grade.
“I wanted to try something new and it kind of stuck with me,” she said.
When asked what inspires her to train and compete she said, “Being able to be up close and personal with the game and supporting the people I love, as well as showing off new skills.”
One of her biggest role models and inspirations is former BGA Assistant Athletic Director, Raye McDonald. She said that McDonald always makes the best of every situation and “gets through anything thrown her way.”
Patton describes herself as flexible, creative and hard working. Outside of cheer, she enjoys helping those with special needs and being the football manager
After finishing at BGA this year, she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in biology or criminology.
