Candidates for Williamson County’s three seats in the Tennessee House of Representatives have been invited to share their views the evening of Oct. 12 in a forum taking place at the county administrative complex.
The BIGR Media candidate forum will run from 6:30 to about 8 p.m., with discussion of issues ranging from schools to finances to governing philosophy. The event, in the County Commission chambers, will be live-streamed on Facebook and broacast on WC-TV, the county’s public access channel, which is available on Comcast Channel 3, Charter Channel 192, United Communications 207 and AT&T U Verse 99. It also will be aired on the county’s YouTube channel after the live cablecast.
The Early Voting period is just two weeks away for the November General Election. Two of the House races are contested, with Rep. Charles Sargent, in District 61, running unopposed. In District 63, Republican incumbent Glen Casada faces Democrat Courtenay Rogers, and in District 65, Democrat Holly McCall vs. Republican Sam Whitson.
