History and Whiskey come to Travellers Rest on November 16

Historic Travellers Rest will be offering an after hours history lesson with a little adult fun from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 16.

In addition to crafters making things as they did around the turn of the 19th Century, there will be drinks and delicacies, all to raise money for the historic site.

Local artisans will be in attendance demonstrating skills such as, Quill Pen Writing, Games of Chance Storytelling, Musicians, Blacksmith, Weaver, Potter Lace Maker, Hat Maker, Shoe Maker, and several more. You can tour the grounds of Historic Travellers Rest, including the home of John Overton.

Proceeds for this event will be used to continue the property’s educational services and conserve the historic nature of the property.

This event is sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners, HUB, and Crosslin.

Guests must be 21 and older to attend. Tickets will include heavy hors d’oeurvres and two drink tickets.

Two Fat Men will be catering and offering whiskey- and bourbon-inspired/infused foods, such as Bourbon Glazed Ham on Sweet Potato Biscuits, Tennessee Charcuterie, Bourbon Glazed Meatballs, Sweet Potato Bourbon Pie and more.

Come on out, relax, and unwind while enjoying a little piece of Nashville. Tickets can be purchased for $50 online at https://travellersrestplantation.org/product/history-whiskey.

Historic Travellers Rest is at 636 Farrell Parkway, Nashville, TN 37220, about five miles north of Brentwood.
