Harpeth Square crane will depart from downtown Franklin skyline this week
The tower crane that has loomed above downtown Franklin’s Harpeth Square project between 1st and 2nd Avenue North has served its purpose and is leaving Franklin’s skyline the end of this week.
Traffic will be rerouted to accommodate the dismantling project.
Beginning at noon on Friday, March 29, through Saturday, March 30, 2019, Main Street adjacent to Landmark Bank from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue will be one lane only. The Harpeth Hotel will be removing the crane and need to block that section for safety. Traffic will be rerouted around the block.
The departure of the crane means the end of construction is near: developers expect the Harpeth Hotel portion of the development to open by the end of July.
Harpeth Square includes the the 119-room Harpeth Hotel. The $105 million Harpeth Square project will also include 150 high-end apartments, a 596-space parking garage, 12,000 square feet of retail space and 6,500 square feet of Class A office space.
