Franktown Open Hearts 10th fundraising dinner is tonight at the Factory

Franktown Open Hearts will host their 10th annual fundraising dinner at the Factory at Franklin on Tuesday, September 4.

The event’s theme is “Picture This!” and will highlight the accomplishments of the inner city youth served by the nonprofit, faith-based organization.

During the program, Franktown will mark a milestone by giving away its 25th car to one deserving woman.

Founded in 2005 by Wayne Howell, Franktown Open Hearts seeks to reach out and break the cycle of generational poverty for youth in Franklin.

Franktown Open Hearts hosts programming six days a week, during which inner city youth are fed, learn new skills, and have the opportunity to learn about Jesus. This event raises about a third of their programming budget for the upcoming year and is crucial to the success of their ministry.

“This event is so important to the life of our ministry. The kids have been rehearsing for months and are so excited to meet and interact with donors and guests. We have been able to keep the car giveaway under wraps and cannot wait to see the expression on the face of the young lady we are giving it away to,” said Director of Program Operations Crystal Tinnon.

This event will take place inside Liberty Hall at The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN 37064. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will conclude at 8 p.m. Members of the press are welcome to arrive at 5 p.m. and stay for the duration of the event.
