Christian Meunier

Christian Meunier will run the Inifiniti business globally and remain based here but spend a fair amount of his time at Infiniti’s headquarters in Hong Kong. He joined the broader Nissan organization in 2002 in Europe and has since risen through the ranks with stops as president of Nissan Canada and Nissan Brazil and senior vice president of sales and marketing and operations for Nissan North America. Most recently, he was global division VP of global marketing and sales operations for Infiniti.

“Christian Meunier brings a record of success to this role, in addition to continuity based on his current global marketing and sales leadership position at Infiniti,” said Nissan President and CEO Hiroto Saikawa. “We are fortunate to welcome him to this new challenge.”

Meunier replaces Roland Krueger, who has been leading Infiniti since 2015 and has left the automaker.

Word of Meunier’s appointment comes almost two months after former Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn was arrested in Japan and charged with several counts of financial misconduct. Saikawa shortly afterward replaced Ghosn, who this week was charged with two more financial crimes.
