Founded in 1963, Exile plays Ryman next week, Franklin Theatre on Feb. 10

Exile, a band best known for the 1978 hit “Kiss You All Over,” will perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Jan. 13, and at the Franklin Theatre on Feb. 10.

The appearances mark the start of the “No Limits Tour” marking their 55th anniversary since the band was formed in Richmond, Kentucky in 1963, which, according to their Nashville publicist, makes them “the longest running self-contained vocal group.”

Exile has sold more than 8 million records, including three Gold records and 11 number-one hit songs, along with numerous hits on the pop and country charts. They are known for major hits including “Kiss You All Over,” “Give Me One More Chance,” and “I Don’t Want to Be a Memory,” to name a few. Exile music is available on all digital platforms here.

“We’re excited and proud to commemorate this landmark achievement in Exile’s history of 55 years as a band as well as celebrating the 40th Anniversary of ‘Kiss You All Over’ this year!” said members of Exile, adding, ”there are some very special plans for 2018, and we cannot wait to share them with all our fans.”

“Kiss You All Over” spent four weeks at the top of Billboard’s pop chart in 1978 and this year will commemorate the song’s 40th Anniversary.

The group’s Nashville-area appearances start with an appearance Jan. 12 on Huckabee, the talk show featuring former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee that is taped before a live audience at Trinity Music City, 30 Music Village Blvd., Hendersonville, TN 37075.

On Jan. 13 the group will perform as part of an Opry at the Ryman show, at the original home of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, 116 5th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219. In addition to Exile, the show also features Ricky Skaggs, Drew and Ellie Holcomb, Dailey & Vincent, Bill Anderson, Mike Snider, Jeannie Seely, and more to be added. Tickets range from $40 to $99.

On Feb. 10, they will take the stage at The Franklin Theatre, 419 Main St., Franklin, 37064.

Tickets to the intimate venue are $37, $41 and $47.

During their run on the country charts Exile has successfully had ten No. 1 singles including “I Don’t Want To Be A Memory” and “Give Me One More Chance.” They have toured with acts including Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Gatlin Brothers and The Judds. The 5 original Exile members re-formed in 2008 and continue to tour today.
