FOOTBALL: Summit blows past Franklin Co., Spring Hill falls to Mt. Juliet

Below are two football scores from Thursday night action.

Summit 56, Franklin Co. 21

Summit only threw the ball three times Thursday night in a home game with Franklin Co. but still won by more than 30 points.

That’s in very large part to the Spartans rushing attack, which ran for 389 cumulative yards between eight rushers.

Tre Hunter led the team with 129 yards and two touchdowns, while the other scoring rushers were Ashton Lebel (82 yards, one TD), Jakalean Cotton 61 yards, one TD), Brandon King (52 yards, one TD), Keaten Wade (22 yards, two TDs) and Andrew Pierce (22 yards, one TD).

Brady Pierce threw for 76 yards in the game under center as quarterback Destin Wade is still out with a high ankle sprain.

The team heads out for a pivotal region game against Shelbyville Central next week.
