The Friends of the Fairview Public Library will be holding their semi-annual book sale beginning this Thursday, with more than 5,000 hardback and paperback books to rummage through, as well as other miscellaneous items like CDs, audio books and DVDs.

The sale will be held Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Fairview Public Library, located at 2240 Fairview Blvd., Fairview, Tennessee 37062.

“We continue to get donations through the year and we sort through the books after each sale, so the inventory is always fresh for repeat customers,” said Cheryl Hamilton, President of the Friends of the Fairview Public Library. “We have contemporary fiction, biographies, historical novels, cookbooks, children’s books and so much more, both hardback and paperback.”

The main fundraising body for the Fairview Public Library, the Friends of the Fairview Public Library first organized in the early 1980s, and have routinely worked closely with library staff.

“We work closely with library staff,” Hamilton continued. It’s a true partnership.”

Net proceeds from the sale will be “used to help meet needs and support programs at the Fairview Public Library,” according to a press release. Those looking for further information on the sale, or to inquire about volunteer opportunities are encouraged to reach out to the Friends of the Fairview Library staff, which may be done via email at friendsoffairviewpubliclibrary@gmail.com.
