FHP: Why are you running?

Patsy Writesman: I feel the two greatest concerns facing our country today are the healthcare problems and concerns with our educational system.

What are the most important issues in education relevant to Williamson County Schools?

The most important issue facing Williamson County currently is the immediate and crucial need to ensure Common Core does not go into effect.

How can you address those issues?

By becoming a part of a school board that is committed to doing everything necessary to prevent Common Core from being implemented.

I am a product of public schools in Tennessee and the professional success achieved is a result of our public school system.

I attended college as a direct result of the influence of a schoolteacher from Glencliff High School, Annelle Rucker, who made it her personal mission that I succeed in school and be given the opportunity to attend college. Teachers, if not tied to the Common Core strategy, have and will continue to produce students who will make our state and country great.

What can you offer as a school board member that your opponent cannot?

Why should people vote for you?

See above.
