School may be out for the summer, but so are criminals.
A total of eight crimes were listed on this week’s Brentwood Police Department crime report. Of those, five were listed as general theft, one as vandalism and two are theft from a motor vehicle.
A wallet and its contents were stolen from an open locker at the Brentwood Family YMCA Thursday morning. Police have no suspects.
Three USPS mail collection boxes on Brentwood Boulevard were entered by force last weekend. Police say mail was targeted, and they have no suspects at this time.
Police have identified a suspect with charges pending after someone stole cigarettes and lighters from a Twice Daily convenience store on Franklin Road.
From the Twice Daily store on Moores Lane, someone stole money from a tip jar on the checkout counter. Police say the suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
Someone shoplifted a car charger from the Best Buy on Galleria Boulevard, but police say a suspect has been arrested.
A wallet and its contents were stolen from a vehicle on Wardley Park Lane last weekend. No forced entry was used and police have no suspects.
Another vehicle was broken into Thursday afternoon, and a backpack and its contents were stolen along with car audio equipment. Police say the vehicle was entered after a car window was broken and two black male suspects left in a blue Mercedes.
Someone spray painted graffiti on the roadway where Johnson Chapel meets River Oaks Court this week. Police have no suspects.
There were no instances of business or residential burglary, motor vehicle theft or robbery this week.
