Carson Shacklett threw two touchdown passes, leading Brentwood to a 33-14 win at Clarksville Friday.

The Bruins (6-4, 5-2 Region 7-5A) host Memphis Kirby (4-6) in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs next week.

Brentwood won five of its last six regular-season games.

The Bruins built a 28-0 lead before the Wildcats (2-8, 1-6) finally scored a touchdown in the second quarter.

Brentwood, Henry County and Rossview tied for second place in Region 7-5A behind Centennial.

Clarksville suffered its seventh straight loss after starting the year 2-1.

Shacklett’s 73-yard TD pass to Will Leone and Collin Rudolph’s 4-yard run gave Brentwood a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.

Dreier’s 4-yard run increased the Bruins’ lead to 28-0 in the second quarter.

Brentwood scored on a safety, giving the Bruins a 30-7 lead with 2:02 left in the first half.

Brentwood outgained Clarksville 443-287 in total yardage.
