Another one of Battle Ground Academy’s talented football players is headed to the next level.
Rising senior and cornerback Briston Bennett has declared his intent to join UNC Charlotte for his college football career.
“To play college football at the highest level has always been a dream of mine,” he shared in his Twitter announcement.
Bennett had offers from Virginia, Louisville, Memphis, Coastal Carolina and Austin Peay before joining the 49ers, per 24/7 Sports.
He’s the third member of BGA’s secondary to join a college program: Antonio Stevens will join Purdue, and Garnett Hollis Jr. will head to Northwestern.
Bennett will join another WillCo name in Charlotte: CPA wide receiver Noah Henderson is off to play football there this fall.
BGA will return to the gridiron this fall where Bennett will play his final season with the Wildcats.
