Balloons will light up over Franklin during third annual hot air balloon festival in May

For the third year, hot air balloons will brighten the evening sky in Franklin during the Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival on May 5.

Thousands of attendees are likely to attend this event in the Westhaven community, which runs from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will include live music, a kids zone, food trucks, craft vendors, and a featured hot air balloon glow at dusk.

Tickets are first come, first served, and available online at Eventbrite. Children ages five and under can attend for free.

Last year’s event, originally slated for May, was rescheduled to late July.

Though the weather can vary greatly in the spring, the long-range forecast shows an average of 76 degrees on the day of the festival.

When: Saturday, May 5, from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Cost: Tickets start at $15, and VIP packages are available for $50. Tickets are only available from eventbrite.com.
