Brock Holthaus, son of Abbey and Brad Holthaus, is this week’s Jet’s Pizza male Athlete of the Week
He is a senior at Franklin High School and a member of the varsity football team.
He plays the position of tight end for the team and has had three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in a game against Riverdale this season.
Holthaus first played football when he was in third grade. He said from the moment he started, he’s loved the game.
When asked what inspires him to continue training and competing he said that winning and continuing to get better as a player are his main motivations.
His biggest influence and role model is his father, Brad.
“He has always motivated me to work harder in football and other aspects of life,” he said.
FHS Head Football Coach Donnie Webb said of Holthaus, “Brock is a great young man that I am extremely proud to say is a Franklin Revel. He is a quiet leader as he is a leader by example. This past off-season, Brock was one of our hardest workers and it is now showing a positive impact for him on the football field. Brock always has a smile on his face and is a pleasure to be around… the sky is the limit for Brock.”
After graduating from FHS this year, he plans to attend The University of Tennessee at Knoxville to pursue a career in advertising.
