David McNeil, son of Tabatha and David McNeil, is a senior at Fairview High School and a member of the varsity football team.
He plays the position of fullback for the team.
In the most recent season in a game against Cheatham, he had seven carries, 69 yards and five touchdowns.
He started playing football at the age of four for the Fairview Raiders.
When asked what inspires him to train and compete he said that he keeps pushing forward so that he can make it to the next level.
One of his biggest role models is his father, David.
“He pushes me to be better than he is,” McNeil said.
FHS football coach said of McNeil, “David is a hard worker that gives his all on every play! He leads by example and has been a key reason for our success. I am very proud of this young man!”
After finishing at FHS this spring, McNeil plans to go to Murray State to pursue a career as a construction manager.
