Will Chivers is a junior at Fairview High School and a member of the Varsity Football Team.
This season, he said that one of his biggest highlights was making two back-to-back tackles on kick-off.
He started playing football years ago after several friends that he played baseball with decided to try it out. From there, the rest is history.
When asked what inspires him to train and compete he said, “I come from a competitive grade, so when I see my friends working hard I strive to work harder.”
One of his biggest role models is his Uncle Greg. He said he admires him for their mutual love for hunting and fishing and his passion for God.
“He is an active hunter and fisherman, but also he is a youth pastor in his church,” Chivers said.
Head Varsity Football Coach Chris Hughes said of Chivers, “Will plays hard and is a great teammate! He is a sure tackler and very coachable. Will gives 100% for the Yellow Jackets.”
After graduating from FVHS next year, he is planning to attend The University of Tennessee- Knoxville to study Aerospace Engineering.
